Mountain snow continues, chance for spotty snow on High Desert later

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Multiple Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect, with different expiration times. The Cascades are under an advisory through early Friday, parts of Deschutes and Jefferson Counties until 10 tomorrow morning, and parts of Crook County until 3 this afternoon.

We’ll continue to see periods of snow in the mountains through the week, with a couple of inches (2-4") adding up each day. Travel through the passes will be impacted by slick, snow-packed roads.

This is mainly a mountain event, but a few snow showers may cross the High Desert today. Highs will remain chilly and struggle to climb out of the 30s.

We could see anywhere from a trace to a few inches (1-2") of snow across the Tri-Counties by the end of Thursday. Not a major snow event for us, but this could create travel issues with slick roads in the morning.

There's a chance for a few passing snow showers on Thursday. Skies begin to clear by the end of the week, with more sunshine on Friday. It stays in the upper 30s on Friday, but we warm back into the low 40s by Saturday.

By Sunday, highs will be back in the upper 40s with a chance for spotty rain.
