Periods of rain today before a drier pattern returns
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Precipitation will linger through the day as an atmospheric river continues to impact the Pacific Northwest. Showers picked up overnight in Central Oregon, leaving wet and slick roads for the Tuesday morning commute.
We’ll see periods of steady rain Tuesday with a few breaks mixed in. Highs will climb back into the low 50s this afternoon with breezy southwest hanging on.
With snow levels above 7,000 feet, only the highest Cascade passes could pick up a light accumulation.
Showers continue overnight into Wednesday, but we should dry out fairly quickly as the day goes on. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 40s, which is right on track for late February.
A ridge of high pressure builds in Wednesday into Thursday, bringing drier and milder conditions. We’re back in the low 50s Thursday, and it’s possible we reach the mid 50s to near 60 by Friday. It should be a nice end to the week.
