Cool and breezy today, warming into the weekend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - The Winter Weather Advisory for the Cascades has been extended until 4am due to lingering mountain snow showers (above 4500 ft). Snow and gusty winds created difficult travel conditions through the passes.

The High Desert will stay dry and breezy today with partly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 30s to mid 40s.

Overnight, temperatures will drop into the 20s and 30s, and there’s a small chance for a brief rain or snow shower early Friday morning.

After that, high pressure begins building back in, bringing a nice warm up heading into the weekend. Highs will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s on Friday.

The weekend looks great for outdoor plans. Saturday and Sunday will be dry and mild with highs in the 60s.

Early next week turns a little cooler, with highs returning to the mid to upper 40s Monday and Tuesday and a slight chance for rain or snow in some areas. It could be breezy at times.
