Clear and chilly morning, warming temperatures into the holiday weekend

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re starting off Friday on a chilly note with clear skies and some lingering cold air.

Temperatures will warm up quickly today as high pressure builds into Oregon. Afternoon highs climb into the low 60s. That is about 15 to 20 degrees warmer than yesterday.

Sunshine sticks around through the weekend as temperatures continue to rise.

Highs reach the low 70s Saturday, then warm into the mid 70s by Easter Sunday. That’s much more like summer, and a big shift from the winter-like weather we saw earlier this week.

If you’re planning an outdoor Easter egg hunt Sunday, the weather looks great! Sunrise is at 6:39 a.m., with temperatures around 40 degrees for early services.

Monday will feel similar to Sunday, just with a few more clouds in the mix. A spotty shower is possible, but most areas stay dry.

Temperatures remain mild Tuesday with highs in the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies.

We cool slightly by midweek, with highs returning to the low 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Clouds increase and breezy conditions develop as we head toward the end of the week.
