Rainy pattern through the weekend and into next week.

KTVZ-TV

Bend, Ore (KTVZ) – Off and on rainy pattern will continue through the weekend. The chance for a few isolated thunderstorms both today and Saturday is not off the table. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the region under the “General Risk” for thunderstorms through the weekend, but more than likely the thunderstorms should come off the table Sunday.

Highs today will top out in the middle 60s as the skies will be mostly cloudy. The rain will be off and on and some pockets of moderate rain are possible. Overnight into Saturday will be cloudy and a lingering chance for some showers. The thunderstorm chances will be low but not zero this afternoon.

Saturday will be cooler and cloudy with periods of rain throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 60s under mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday will be wet as well as the second system moves closer to the coast. This area of low pressure will be arriving from the Gulf of Alaska, so cooler conditions will overtake Central Oregon.

Highs will be in the middle 50s Sunday through the middle of next week.  Once this second low clears the region, our rain chances drop to near zero.

Mountain snow is possible off and on into the middle of next week with very little accumulation.  Snow levels will be above the mountain passes, but early in the day some slick conditions may be present.

A general wet period is expected this weekend, so keep the rain gear handy.

Please, Stay safe.
