DOGS, CATS AND OTHER FURRY FRIENDS NEED YOUR HELP!
Join NewsChannel 21 and our local shelter and business partners as we once again team up to Clear the Shelters and find loving homes for pets. Since 2014, this national campaign has helped more than one million pets find new homes and more than $4 million donated nationally. 2023 was a terrific year for Clear The Shelters with more than 158,000 pets adopted nationally.
NewsChannel 21 will host a “Adopt & Donate” effort in August to help local shelters make a difference for Central Oregon pets (and people).
Here are ways you can participate in Clear the Shelters:
Adopt a Pet Through Clear The Shelters
The WeRescue app enables users to browse for adoptable pets in their area by breed, gender, size and other factors using their smartphone. Users can also submit their adoption applications and ask questions directly to shelters through the app.

Clear The Shelters features online donations through its partner Greater Good Charities, which hosts the fundraising and covers all transaction fees so that 100% of donations go directly to shelters and rescues in need. Online donations can be made to participating shelters or rescues during the campaign at GreaterGood.org/g, which is also accessible via ClearTheShelters.com.
