Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
We’ve seen a few clouds develop this afternoon and they’ll stay with us through sunset. Winds will be out of the north and northwest around 15 miles per hour. Temperatures around sunset will be in the low to mid 70s.
Overnight we’ll see mostly clear skies. Lows will be well above average in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. We should be in the lower 40s for overnight lows.
Tomorrow begins with some sunshine and warm temperatures. We’ll quickly climb into the mid to upper 80s, which will feel hot at times! Sunshine gives way to some clouds around lunchtime and the chance for thunderstorms develops shortly thereafter.
Thunderstorms are likely for the Cascades around noon. The chance for thunderstorms for Central Oregon increases by the early afternoon and lingers through sunset. Within the thunderstorms we’ll see gusty winds, likely some hail, downpours, and lightning. Remember: when thunder roars, go indoors!
We bounce right back to summer conditions (without the afternoon thunderstorms) for Thursday. Thursday is also the First Day of Summer! Temperatures will be in the 80s with mostly sunny skies.
The weekend ahead will be warm and hot at times. Be safe if you plan on heading outdoors. Water in rivers and lakes is still quite cold.
