Deschutes United Way picks fundraising campaign chair
United Way of Deschutes County is pleased to announce that Kate Gaughan will serve as the volunteer Chair for its 2018-2019 annual community fundraising campaign.
A financial advisor and client solutions leader for Edward Jones Investments, Gaughan has grown to love Central Oregon since moving here in 2012. In addition to getting to know many people through her busy practice, Gaughan has served on the finance committee for the Humane Society of Central Oregon and is a 2017 graduate of the Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Bend program.
She also stays active through her memberships in City Club of Central Oregon and 100+ Women Who Care Central Oregon. Originally from Boston, Mass., Gaughan holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bates College, where she played division three soccer throughout her college career.
Annually, United Way of Deschutes County launches a community campaign to raise funds used to address the most pertinent, unmet needs of individuals and families in our Central Oregon community. For the 2018-2019 fundraising campaign,
Gaughan will lead this effort to improve the lives of many. Because there is nothing more powerful than a community working together, United Way endeavors to work with corporate leaders, employees, and individuals to create year-round relationships and foster strong partnerships based upon philanthropy and advocacy.
Because of the incredible efforts of volunteers and donors, our local United Way is proud to have met its goal year after year – an achievement that results in lasting changes for our families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and, in many cases, for ourselves.
United Way of Deschutes County is a Central Oregon-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
