Local Alert Weather – Saturday

KTVZ

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Saturday begins with temperatures in the 40s and lower 50s, so still slightly above average for this time of year. Most of the smoke should be gone by the afternoon and we’ll see mostly sunny skies. Daytime highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s, which is below average and much cooler than where we topped out for Friday. Winds will be breezy at times gusting 20 miles per hour.

Overnight lows into Sunday will be rather chilly in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Mostly clear skies are expected. The perseid meteor shower should be visible to the northeast producing 60-70 meteors per hour. Grab a blanket if you’re headed out to see the show both Saturday and Sunday nights!

Sunday will see a slight warm up getting back to average at 86 degrees. We’ll continue to warm as we go into the middle of next week with highs back to the mid 90s by Tuesday.

Have a happy & safe weekend!
