Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 8-16-18

Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
After early morning thunderstorms we will see some partial clearing with the smoke staying fairly thick, and a chance of more thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the low 90’s and NW winds will pick up to a gusty 5-15 mph. Down drafts from any thunderstorms will also add to the gusty conditions, Some of those thunderstorms may also generate small hail.
All of that activity will break up after midnight. Partly cloudy skies will see some clearing through the morning hours. Tonight’s lows will be in the 50’s and breezes will become light and variable.
Somewhat cooler air will follow this weak storm activity, so Friday’s temps will be down closer to our average for this time of year. For the weekend and into next week we will see sunny, but smoky skies and daytime highs in the low 90’s.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
