Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
A trough is centered over the Pacific Northwest bringing us unsettled, cool weather. We’ll see winds out of the northwest around 15 miles per hour. Clouds are expected overhead through the end of the day. A chance for showers will stay with us through the overnight as we cannot rule out some precipitation east of the Cascades. Also, there’s a slight chance for a thunderstorm tonight.
Tomorrow morning will start in the mid to upper 30s, which is around average. Temperatures will be cold to begin the day with partly cloudy skies overhead.
Thursday will be dry and we’ll see quite a bit of sunshine through the afternoon. Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 60s, which is still 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Winds will be out of the northwest around 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Heading into the weekend we’ll see some clouds and cool temperatures. Highs will still be in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s for Friday and Saturday.
Overnight lows will be cool in the low to mid 30s.
The Cascades and locations west of the Cascades will look at scattered showers from time to time and variable cloud cover.
It’s a mixed bag for Central Oregon for the next several days as summer becomes fall!
