Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!

A beautiful way to wrap up the second-to-last full day of summer! Temperatures were just a few degrees below average and we saw plenty of sunshine. Winds will be out of the north around 15 miles per hour.

Overnight we’ll see mostly clear skies before sunrise. Winds will generally be out of the south around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Lows will be chilly, but not as cold as we were this morning. Lows will bottom out in the mid to upper 30s early tomorrow morning.

We’ll start with more sunshine than we will see all day. The last full day of summer will see clouds roll in by the late morning and will hang around through the end of the day. Partly cloudy skies are expected into Saturday as well. Highs for Friday will top out in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will be breezy at times ahead of a cold front gusting 20 miles per hour.

The cold front brings cooler temperatures for Saturday and more clouds. We’ll see partly sunny skies with a slight chance for early morning showers. At this time showers would be sprinkles at best.

Fall begins at 6:54 p.m. on Saturday.

Chilly daytime highs and cold overnight lows are on the way to round out the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. We’ll see mostly sunny skies.

The first full week of fall will act more like summer (fitting, right?) and we’ll see highs in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s with sunny skies.
