Local Alert Weather Saturday 9.29.18
Hello Central Oregon! The smoky haze on much of the Central Oregon horizon lingered Friday evening, but with otherwise mostly clear skies.
While there was little cloud movement on the satellite or radar, a low pressure system off the Northern California coast is going to make its way north onto the Oregon Coast and into the Valley overnight.
It’ll then slide into Central Oregon by Saturday afternoon, bringing a 30 percent chance of rain – the first in quite a while. That chance of rain continues Sunday, as do the partly cloudy skies.
Your weekend plans for Saturday probably should include a light jacket, for a bit cooler temperatures. Still, we’ll be in the low 70s by noon and a bit breezy as well, with winds from the north up to 15 mph.
The chance of rain continues into Monday, with next week promising highs close to average but lows above average.
