Debris burning season to begin outside Bend

KTVZ

Open debris burning within the boundaries of the Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District #2, which surrounds the city of Bend, will be open on Thursday.

Anyone who wishes to burn debris within the district must have with them a current copy of the burn regulations, which can be obtained from any of Bend’s five fire stations. A copy of the regulations is also available online at www.bendoregon.gov/ under the Fire and Life Safety Information heading.

Before burning, you must call 541-322-6335 to ensure that burning is open for that particular day, as weather and other factors may require us to close burning on a daily basis.

Please be sure to follow all instructions and regulations per the burn information pamphlet. You may be held responsible for the costs of an escaped debris burn.

All debris burning within the Bend city limits is prohibited year-round.
