Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM

KTVZ

Happy Friday evening, everyone!

We started the day with some high clouds and smoky skies. High pressure forced pollutants closer to the surface through the overnight, which is why we saw ‘unhealthy’ air quality to begin the day. A weak cold front is passing through giving us better air quality and a few clouds overhead this evening.

Overnight expect mostly clear skies with a few clouds still overhead. Winds will be generally out of the northwest. Overnight lows will be in the upper teens and lower 20s.

Saturday begins on a mostly sunny, chilly note with temperatures in the 20s. We could see some frosty, slick roads for the next few mornings, so keep that in mind! We’ll see a sunny day to follow once we get into the afternoon. Highs for Saturday will be in the low to mid 40s, which is below average.

Veterans Day will be beautifully sunny. Temperatures will be chilly in the mornings for the parades or other outdoor activities, so bundle up! Remember sunglasses and sunscreen if you’ll be spending time outside this weekend. Highs reach the upper 40s and lower 50s for Sunday.

Overnight into Monday we could see some patchy freezing fog develop. Monday will see sunny skies still with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

As we head into the middle of next week we’ll see mild temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. More clouds will push into the region leaving us with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies.
