KTVZ

Happy Friday evening, everyone!

A weak cold front is moving through the region tonight. Overnight lows will be around average in the mid to upper 20s with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be out of the northwest around 10 miles per hour overnight. We’ll wake up to clouds tomorrow morning.

Saturday is off to a cold start with temperatures in the 20s. Because of the clouds to start the day we’ll see a chilly morning. By the afternoon skies will clear and we’ll see temperatures topping out in the low to mid 40s. Winds will be breezy at times out of the northwest around 15 miles per hour.

Overnight into Sunday we’ll see mostly clear skies with lows in the teens and single digits. High pressure regains control of our weather pattern by Sunday.

Sunny skies are ahead for the second half of the weekend. Highs will be a little above average in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY takes effect Sunday morning and extends through the middle of next week. The air will be still and winds will be calm. Air quality will suffer during this time due to smoke from wood stoves, debris piles, and prescribed burns.

Patchy freezing fog is likely Monday and Tuesday with the high pressure in control. We’ll see cooler temperatures under the fog. Highs to begin the week will be in the low to mid 50s with mostly sunny skies.

By Wednesday our winds will pick up and we’ll see a change. Clouds will roll back into Central Oregon and we’ll see a chance for showers by Thanksgiving.

Have a happy & safe weekend!
