Salem meth dealer gets 6 years for armed burglary, assault
SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A convicted meth dealer was sentenced to six years in prison this week for breaking into a woman’s home armed with a gun, threatening to shoot her and striking her over the head with a revolver.
The Statesman Journal reports that 34-year-old Nigel Ordex of Salem pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, burglary and unlawful use of a weapon and admitted to breaking into the home and attacking the woman on May 8, 2017.
The woman was seriously injured during the assault.
Ordex has a lengthy criminal history stretching back to 2008. He was also facing separate charges of reckless driving, fleeing a police officer, dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful use of a weapon.
