Bend Cracker Barrel now hiring for early Feb. opening

Cracker Barrel said Monday it has begun hiring about 175 employees for its new Bend restaurant, set to open in early February on Robal Lane.

We anticipate hiring approximately 175 full and part-time employees.

We just started accepting applications this week for all skill positions on both the restaurant and retail side. Hiring will start taking place at the beginning of the year. Opening Date

We anticipate opening in early February. I will let you know the final, official opening date when we’re approximately 4 weeks out.

Bend Cracker Barrel’s Decor

I’m excited to share a sneak peek and first look of the antiques that will line our Bend store’s walls.

One of the most distinguishable aspects of Cracker Barrel is the authentic memorabilia and Americana decor that reflects the unique families and culture of the community it serves. Each collection of decor that goes into a store is carefully planned and curated. It’s all genuine artifacts pulled from our Decor Warehouse, which houses over 90,000 pieces of Americana – no replicas – located at our HQ in Tennessee.

We mocked up the design of each new store’s decor at the Decor Warehouse and always tailor a few of our walls to be reflective of the local community, including its history and heritage. So, the description / photos you see below are of a mock store meant to represent the walls of our Bend store.

Bend Custom Decor (see here for photos )

One wall proudly displays items that pay tribute to outdoor life and recreation in Bend. The wall is divided into several sections to represent popular pastimes, including: An outdoor recreation area with vintage skis, a sled, ice skates, bicycle, and golf clubs. An area dedicated to hunting with a wall that features traps, pelt boards, a bucksaw, and cans of rifle powder. One area of the store’s decor will be dedicated Oregon’s rich history in the lumber industry. The wall will display a vintage chainsaw, oversized wooden mallet, log movers, and various other hand tools. One section features vintage carpentry and construction items that are a nod to the new home construction surge in Bend. Items displayed include a ladder, hand saw, level, and various signs. A farming-themed wall gives tribute to the industry. The wall features authentic tools like seed planters and pans, and an Oregon Farmer Magazine from 1924 is displayed along with a vintage Ensign fruit crate box label. Other walls within the store showcase America’s heritage, including: An automotive wall with vintage signs and products, including tire rims, antique fuses, and a tire pump An apparel and laundry wall with antique sewing and washing-related memorabilia A wall dedicated to pancakes, an iconic Cracker Bar rel staple, featuring cookware, maple syrup jugs, and pancake flour
