Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
Showers will be with us through about midnight. Most of the showers will be mixed or in the form of snow as snow levels are around 2,800′ tonight. Winds will gust at times around 20 miles per hour out of the west as the cold front moves through the region.
Slick roads are likely tonight with the showers we’ve seen today and the cold temperatures on the way for tonight. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies apart from the few lingering flurries. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 20s, which is a little above average.
Winter begins at 2:23 p.m. Friday, and temperatures will be acting much more seasonal! We’ll see mostly cloudy skies breaking up by the afternoon. Daytime highs to wrap up the week will be in the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s, which is back to average! Winds will be light out of the south.
Into Saturday we’ll see mostly clear skies for the full moon (technically full on December 22, but will appear full the night of the 21st)! Temperatures will be cold in the teens and lower 20s.
Saturday starts dry before the next system pushes in through the evening into Sunday. We’ll see some rain showers with mixed showers for higher elevations. Highs for Saturday will b ein the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Sunday sees rain showers for most of the day and that chance for showers extends into Monday.
