Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
Tonight we’ll remain dry and see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies overhead. Overnight lows will be in the upper teens and lower 20s. A nearly full moon will be very bright on this long winter’s night! Winds will be gentle.
Saturday begins with sunshine in the early morning hours, but cloud will push in by 10 o’clock. We’ll be dry during the daylight on Saturday before the showers roll in for the evening. Saturday will see mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Showers push into Central Oregon overnight into Sunday. We’ll see some rain showers for most of Central Oregon turning to mixed as temperatures fall during the overnight. Because surfaces are cold we will see some spots of ice and slick conditions by Saturday evening.
Sunday will see some showers in the morning, but mainly across the Cascades. Mt. Bachelor will see about 6″-12″ of new snow for Sunday morning. Expect the mountain passes to have packed snow, so you will need snow tires or chains.
Shower chances stick with us through Monday. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s.
Christmas Day has the chance for a few snow flurries leading into the holiday, so we could see a little dusting for Christmas morning! Stay with KTVZ.com for the latest.
Have a Happy & Safe Holiday weekend!
