Saturday PM Local Alert Weather Forecast

KTVZ

Good evening Central Oregon and happy Saturday!

A cold and cloudy day out there for us today as we are getting set to see a pretty active weather system start up for the High Desert.

There is a slight chance that we could see some scattered snow showers out there across the region this evening.

Winds are set to pick up out there as well overnight out of the southwest at 10-15 MPH with gusts up around 20 MPH.

Overnight lows will be down into the mid to low 30s.

We are also seeing those snow levels drop out there as well, they will fluctuate over the next couple of days between 1500 and 3000 feet.

That means we will be seeing snow showers up at the pass levels and the chances for a sew snow showers here in Central Oregon as well heading into Sunday.

Tomorrow highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.

We can expect to see rain throughout much of the day for Sunday and there is a chance we could see it change over to snow in the evening to overnight hours.

Chances for rain continue into Monday as well with Partly cloudy skies overhead for Christmas Eve.

There is a very slight chance that we could see some snow showers on Christmas day, but right now its only about a 20 percent chance.

Temperatures will top out in the 40s for much of the week ahead and it looks like we will see dry conditions come the end of the week heading into next weekend.

Enjoy your holiday weekend Central Oregon!
