Happy New Year, Central Oregon!

We began 2019 with dry conditions and a beautiful sunrise & sunset! Calm winds are ahead for tonight due to high pressure extending over the region. An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY is in effect until 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Partly cloudy skies will be overhead this evening and lows will be cold in the low to mid 20s.

Tomorrow will see partly cloudy skies at times especially through the second half of the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s, which is about 5 degrees above average. Winds will be calm once again.

We stay dry through at least Thursday evening going into Friday. Thursday will be our warmest day of the week with highs in the mid to upper 40s. We’ll see cloud increase on Thursday with the chances for showers kicking up across the Cascades by sunset. Central Oregon has a slight chance for showers early Friday morning.

Friday sees about a 30% chance for showers during the day. Highs will still be mild in the mid to upper 40s. Overnight lows will be in the lower 30s once we get to the end of the week as well.

The weekend will see mostly cloudy skies and slightly above temperatures. We have a chance for mixed showers developing by the evening.

Happy 2019!
