CET holding open houses on transit master plan

KTVZ

Cascades East Transit is developing a Transit Master Plan to identify conceptual transit service over the next 25 years. Six community open house events will be held throughout Central Oregon in January to collect input from residents regarding the vision, goals, and near-term priorities for transit.

Public comments can also be submitted online through February 3, 2019 on the project website at www.CETTransitPlan.com.

Andrea Breault, CET’s Senior Transit Planner, said, ” Cascades East Transit is excited to host a series of open houses throughout Central Oregon to receive input from all members of the public on the future expansion of transit services throughout the region.

“This input will be an integral part of CET’s 2040 Transit Master Plan, which is expected to be finalized in the spring of 2020.”

Michelle Rhoads, CET/COIC Transportation Manager, said, “Community feedback is essential for the planning process and CET’s open house events will provide an opportunity to have a transformational vision for the future of public transportation.”

Central Oregon residents are encouraged to attend the following open houses by dropping in between 4:30 and 6:30 pm. Light refreshments and activities for children will be provided. To request information and open house materials in an alternative format or in a different language, please contact Rachel Zakem at 541-504-3310 or rzakem@coic.org five days prior to the meeting date.
