Thursday p.m. Local Alert Weather 011519
Snow flurries hit many parts of Central Oregon this morning. This was due to a trough of low pressure that’s moving north from California and mixing with the cool air here in Central Oregon that’s being held down by an inversion.
Temperatures across the region were nearly the same as Monday, sitting right at average. Tuesday night you can expect cloudy skies with another chance of snow flurries between midnight and sunrise. Overnight lows will range from 25 to 28 degrees.
Wednesday, we will have mostly cloudy skies with the snow turning into a chance for rain after sunrise and highs right around average, ranging from 40 to 46 degrees.
Parts of Central Oregon remain under the air stagnation advisory until 7 p.m. Wednesday and as we make our way into the week we see an increase for a chance for rain, up to 50 percent by Saturday.
Our next slight chance for a rain-snow mix returns Sunday, with highs staying around average.
