Local Alert Weather, Thu. AM, 2.7.19
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
We start the day clear and cold and for the most part we will stay that way for much of the day. A few clouds by the end of the day will be the leading edge of the next system. Highs today will be in the low to mid 30’s and winds will remain pretty calm. Clouds thicken tonight and deliver a chance of snow showers by morning. Lows will be in the teens and low 20’s. Winds will remain pretty calm.
It would be a good idea to prepare yourself, your cars and your animals for cold winter weather for the next several days. Snow showers may be a bit intermittent, but they are expected to stay with us from Friday right into next week. Accumulations of 2-4 inches are possible here on the High Desert between tonight and Saturday night. Mt. Bachelor could see as much as a foot of new snow during that time period. A chance of snow showers will stay with us through Wednesday. Daytime highs will be at or a little below freezing from now through the middle of next week. Overnight lows will be in the teens.
