Sunday PM Local Alert Weather Forecast

KTVZ

Good evening Central Oregon!

A cold day across the High Desert, but we did get a few sun breaks from time to time.

Things are starting to change outside as we are getting set for another round of snow to push into the region.

We do have a Winter Weather Advisory in place for parts of Central Oregon, and in the Sisters, La Pine an Sunriver areas, there is a Winter Storm Warning in place, both are set to expire early Tuesday morning.

In the lower elevations across the High Desert we are looking at 3-6 inches of new snow by Tuesday, and in the upper elevations we are looking at 6-10 inches of new snow by Tuesday.

Overnight tonight lows will drop down into the teens and 20s as snow showers will begin to develop, we could see 1-3 inches of new snow by the morning.

Snow showers look to continue to fall throughout Monday, with highs in the low to mid 30s.

We could likely see those showers turn to a rain snow mix in the afternoon and evening hours for those in the northern parts of the tri-county area, such as Redmond, Madras, and Warm Springs.

That rain snow mix is likely to turn back over to snow overnight though.

Cold temperatures for the rest of the week as well, with highs in the 30s, and chances for snow throughout the week.

Enjoy the rest of your Weekend Central Oregon!
