Cinderella’s closet offers formal dresses to borrow

High school girls in Bend are invited to borrow a prom dress from Cinderella’s Closet. Over 750 new and gently used formal dresses, shoes, jewelry and other accessories are available.

Cinderella’s Closet is a project of Assistance League of Bend. Cinderella’s Closet is open every other Saturday through May 11, 11: a.m. to 2 p.m., and every Wednesday through May 15, 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.. No appointment necessary.

Cinderella’s Closet is located at the Assistance League of Bend Chapter House at 210 SE Urania Lane.

Volunteers will bring Cinderella’s Closet to Bend High School and Summit High School . Students may browse over 150 formal dresses during lunch break, as well as after school on the following dates:

· Bend High School: Thursday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 9

· Summit High School: Thursday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 30

A completed permission slip signed by the student’s parent or guardian is required when visiting the Assistance League of Bend Chapter House and at the temporary mobile site at Bend and Summit high schools.

Assistance League of Bend’s Cinderella’s Closet has been loaning new or gently used formal dresses to high school girls throughout Central Oregon since April 2018.

Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in need in Deschutes County, including foster children, the homeless, seniors and cancer patients.
