Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM
Happy Monday evening, everyone!
Rain showers will stick around through the rest of the evening. Overnight shower chances dwindle heading into the early morning hours on Tuesday. Winds will gust around 10 miles per hour. Overnight low temperatures will dip into the low to mid 30s, which is a little above average.
Snow showers are falling into the mountains and Mt. Bachelor will see a fresh coat of snow by the morning. We’ll see another 3-4″ of snow at the ski areas. Snow levels Monday night will be around 4,700′ and will rise to 5,500′ Tuesday morning.
Tuesday sees partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Clouds will stick closer to the Cascades throughout the day. We’ll see gusty winds at times topping 20 miles per hour. Daytime highs will be warmer than they were for today topping out in the mid to upper 50s, which is still slightly below average.
A ridge of high pressure builds into the region as we head into the middle of the week. High temperatures will keep warming. We see mid 60s for Wednesday and will top out in the mid 70s (!!!) for Thursday. Our average daytime high is now 60 degrees.
We look to stay dry until the ridge weakens and allows another system to drop in from the northwest. We’ll see a drop in temperatures and our skies will turn to clouds with a chance for showers by Friday. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s.
Looking ahead to the Easter holiday weekend we’ll see highs around average in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Conditions are expected to be dry with varying clouds. Easter Sunday looks sunnier than Saturday.
