Local Alert Weather, Fri. AM, 4-19-19

KTVZ

Good Friday Morning, Everyone…

An approaching cold front will take our clear morning skies, cloud them over through the day and bring a chance of showers through the late afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s and northerly breezes will pick up to 5-15 mph. Those northerly breezes will get rather gusty overnight. Lows will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s and rain is likely into Saturday morning.

As the front passes across the region it will leave cooler air behind. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s. Winds will become lighter out of the NW and we will see some gradual clearing.

If you are heading over to the spring games tomorrow you will see a rainy drive to the valley in the morning and some clearer skies in the afternoon. The Beavers kick off in Corvallis at 11:00 am. A few lingering showers will clear over the course of the game. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s. The Ducks kick off in Eugene at 2:00 pm. Showers will have moved through by then, so expect to see partly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 60’s, as well.

Central Oregon skies will become clearer as we go into Sunday. That will also mark the beginning of a warming trend that will carry us into the low 70’s by Tuesday. Skies will vary between mostly sunny and partly cloudy through the middle of next week.
