BRUSSELS (AP) — Two-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar says he was lucky to escape from his weekend crash with only a broken left wrist. The injury is not expected to derail his Tour preparations. Pogacar was expected to travel home on Monday after undergoing successful surgery on the wrist in Belgium. The Slovenian rider’s team says the surgery to insert a screw to realign the fragments of his scaphoid bone went well. He was injured in a crash during the one-day Liège–Bastogne–Liège classic.
