Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
Tonight winds won’t be too breezy only gusting around 15 miles per hour. We’ll see clear skies overnight going into tomorrow morning. Low temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s.
High pressure moves onshore for the weekend and we’ll see clear skies and warm temperatures Saturday as a result. Winds will be relatively calm only gusting around 15 miles per hour. In the afternoon we’ll reach the low to mid 80s for daytime highs, which is around 20 degrees above normal!
As a note this weekend the waters in Central Oregon are still very cold. Temperatures range in the 40s and 50s. It is not recommended to go swimming with the water being so cold. Make sure to wear your sunscreen as we’ll see plenty of blue sky this weekend. Add a few extra glasses of water into your regimine as well, as temperatures will be much warmer than we are used to seeing.
Mother’s Day will start with sunny skies and we’ll see some clouds roll in during the second half of the day. Look to see winds picking up as well through the afternoon gusting around 15 to 20 miles per hour. These changes will be setting us up for even bigger changes next week!
Next week temperatures begin to cool as high pressure moves east. We’ll see more clouds Monday and into Tuesday. Highs will cool into the mid to upper 60s by the middle of next week. We see a chance for rain increase on Wednesday with that chance extending into Friday.
Have a happy & safe weekend!
