Local Alert Weather – Saturday
Happy Saturday, everyone!
Saturday morning begins on a cool note and a chilly day will follow. Highs peak only in the mid to upper 50s and lower 60s, which is about 10 degrees below normal. We start the day with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and see shower chances increase by the afternoon. Showers will fall in the mountains in the form of some rain/snow mix as well as snow at the highest elevations. We’ll see a chance for rain showers in the early afternoon across Central Oregon. Winds will gust around 20 miles per hour.
Overnight into Sunday we have the chance for a few showers with lows in the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s. Sunday sees a chance for rain showers already in the morning followed by a chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be warmer than Saturday as we top out in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Winds could be breezy with storms if they do develop.
Memorial Day itself looks to have a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be around normal in the mid to upper 60s.
By Tuesday of next week we’re back to average with highs in the 70s. We’ll keep climbing into the mid to upper 70s next weekend.
Have a happy & safe Memorial Day Weekend!
