Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
Tonight a slight chance for thunderstorms exists throughout Central Oregon as instability lingers east. We have a chance for light rain showers around 9 PM. Partly cloudy skies will be overhead once we get to the midnight hour. We’ll see low temperatures on a mild to warm note in the morning in the 40s.
Friday will start with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will warm into the upper 70s and lower 80s, which is about 10 degrees above normal. Again, we’ll see increasing clouds in the late morning and afternoon. A slight chance for thunderstorms develops in the afternoon and evening.
Overnight into Saturday we’ll see mostly clear skies as chances for thunderstorms dwindle. Heading into the weekend an area of low pressure will drop to the south, and we’ll see calmer conditions as a result. Winds will be around 10 to 15 miles per hour Saturday. Highs will be warm in the upper 70s and lower 80s with mostly sunny skies.
Sunday will see breezier winds gusting 15 to 20 miles per hour. We’ll see sunshine overhead and a warm day with highs in the mid 80s. Winds bring us a slight cool down throughout the week. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s until Wednesday.
