Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…
After starting our day with clear skies and a smoky haze from the controlled burns we will start to see the early effects of a system advancing from the NW. With a few clouds building in by the end of the day, highs will be in the mid 70’s and NW winds will pick up to a gusty 10 -15 mph . The cloud cover will thicken tonight, but we are expecting to stay dry. Lows will be in the 40’s and nw winds will stay breezy through the night.
Skies will stay mostly cloudy Thursday and we will see a chance of some scattered rain showers. The system will bring much cooler air, so we will only see highs reach the low to mid 60’s . NW winds will stay pretty gusty. Friday will be even cooler with highs only reaching the mid 50’s . To the chance of rain showers we will add a chance of seeing some thunderstorm activity, as well. Both Thursday night and Friday night we will see lows in the 30’s . Upper elevations are expected to drop to freezing and a little below. It would be a good idea to make arrangements now to protect sensitive plants and animals from the cold. Some areas may even mix a little snow in with that chance of rain showers. Clearing will begin Friday night and a nice warming trend will get under way Saturday. Skies will be sunny starting Sunday and that warming trend will have us near 90 degrees for highs by Tuesday.
