NeighborImpact releases regional resource book

KTVZ

NeighborImpact, the region’s largest nonprofit provider of social services, recently released its biennial resource publication, the Answer Book.

The Answer Book is an 80-page information booklet published in both English and Spanish. The book includes information compiled from local organizations about services available to residence of Central Oregon that fall into categories such as education, emergency services, employment, food, energy assistance, health, housing, legal aid, hotlines and more.

Residents can use the book to find the services they need with information including the name of the organization providing the service, their address, website, phone number and service area.

NeighborImpact prints and distributes the Answer Book with the goal of providing a single, easy to navigate resource that residents in need can use to find services that they may have been previously unaware of. The book increases accessibility to these services by putting them in the hands of individuals at their time of need, and by eliminating the need for internet access, which can be difficult for individuals experiencing homelessness or those technologically adverse.

The nonprofit does recognize, however, that a print publication can quickly become outdated. To ensure that the information provided is the most up-to-date, NeighborImpact has created a web catalog of all of the services and organizations compiled in the book: https://www.neighborimpact.org/providers.

This easy-to-navigate resource allows users to filter results by the type of service needed, location, day of the week the organizations are open and more. A resource like none other in Central Oregon, this one-stop-shop webpage links struggling individuals with no-cost services that improve health, safety and quality of life.

Organizations in the area are encouraged to use this resource when referring individuals to local service providers. Organizations can request to be listed in both the Answer Book and the online providers network by simply filling out a request form on NeighborImpact’s website. Businesses and organizations can also request printed copies of the answer book in quantities of 50 at no charge by filling out a short request form on the website.

Delivery of the printed books is scheduled to begin next week and will continue as requests are received.

To request a shipment of Answer Books, or to be listed in future publications and on the online provider network, please visit www.NeighborImpact.org/AnswerBook. For the most up-to-date service information, please visit https://www.neighborimpact.org/providers.

NeighborImpact is a 21 Cares for Kids partner.
