Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM
Happy Monday evening, everyone!
Tonight we’ll see breezy winds at times as we approach sunset. Winds will top around 25 to 30 miles per hour. Overnight under mostly clear skies our winds will calm. Low temperatures will bottom out in the mid to upper 40s, which is above normal.
Tuesday will see another nice, warm day with highs in the low to mid 80s. The average daytime high is 77 degrees. Winds will pick up at times in the afternoon gusting 25 miles per hour.
We can expect breezy winds over the coming days bringing in cooler air. The jet stream will sag to the south allowing for an area of low pressure to drop down from British Columbia once we get into the second half of the week. Temperatures by Thursday will be about 10 degrees below normal in the mid to upper 60s. Low temperatures will cool into the mid to upper 30s.
During this time we’ll be between mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. We’re not expecting any shower activity for the extended forecast.
Summer begins at 8:45 a.m. Friday morning. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. The first FULL day of summer will see highs in the mid to upper 70s with mostly sunny skies!
