Hwy. 97 reopens N. of La Pine after 3-car crash
(Update: DCSO says no fatalities, several injuries; adding photo)
A three-vehicle injury rollover crash blocked Highway 97 north of La Pine for nearly two hours Tuesday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. at the highway’s intersection with Pinecrest Lane, near milepost 163, Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies said.
Sgt. William Bailey said there were several occupants injured but no reported fatalities. One vehicle reportedly had overturned.
Deputies urged motorists to consider another route or delay travel. ODOT later reported a detour route was being established and Bailey said it was in place. An AirLink helicopter was flown to and landed at the crash site.
