NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators have fired coach John Hynes more than a month after they missed the playoffs. Incoming general manager Barry Trotz made the move Tuesday. Trotz said the decision was made to dismiss Hynes and assistant coach Dan Lambert after doing additional postseason evaluation. The Predators lost their first playoff series each of the past three seasons with Hynes in charge. Moving on from Hynes is the first example of Trotz putting his own stamp on the organization he coached from 1998-2014.
