Arrest made in McMinnville shooting death
McMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting death in McMinnville following a fast-moving investigation.
The arrest, made around 2 a.m. Saturday, followed the Friday night shooting of a 28 year-old man, according to The Oregonian/OregonLive .
Dustin Brown, 33, was taken into custody on a temporary felony warrant for homicide.
Police received a call around 5:30 p.m. Friday about a shooting on Grandhaven Street, and found a 28-year-old man who was shot in the abdomen.
The victim has not yet been identified by police. He was taken by ambulance to a helicopter, which was meant to take him to the hospital, but he died before reaching the helicopter.
A police press release said there is no continued threat to the public.
It was unclear Saturday whether the two men knew each other or what led to the shooting.
