Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

After a lovely holiday weekend we have started the week with more of the same! Looking to see changes overnight, however. We’ll see breezy winds at times topping 20 miles per hour. Overnight lows will be quite mild in the upper 40s and lower 50s in the Bend and Redmond areas. Higher elevations will see colder low temperatures. Mostly clear skies around midnight will turn partly cloudy by the morning.

Chances for rain showers pick up in the afternoon on Tuesday. We’ll see a good chance for rain throughout the second half of the day. Highs will be the coolest we’ll see on the extended forecast — we’ll top out in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be breezy at times in the afternoon.

Overnight into Wednesday we’ll see shower chances dwindle, but still will see some rain. Wednesday morning will wake up to partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Some light showers could be possible on Wednesday, but mainly to the north or up in the mountains. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will pick up in the afternoon gusting around 20 miles per hour.

Thursday sees partly sunny skies with highs returning to average in the low to mid 80s. Winds will still be breezy. Friday will see fewer clouds and a modest warm up getting into the mid to upper 80s.

The weekend ahead looks to see variable clouds and warmer temperatures than what we’ll see for this week.
