Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

An area of low pressure along with a trough of cool air have made their way onshore today. We’ve seen some breezy winds, scattered showers, and cooler temperatures as a result. There’s a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms out tonight, but once we hit midnight we won’t see many chances ahead. Overnight lows will be in the 30s in the higher elevations like La Pine and Sunriver. The rest of Central Oregon will see lows in the lower 40s, which is average.

Wednesday will see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Highs will be warmer in the upper 60s and lower 70s, but that’s still below average. Winds will be much calmer, and we’ll notice much more sunshine!

Thursday looks to be our warmest, sunniest day of the week with highs in the low to mid 80s. Blue skies will be overhead all day and winds won’t be too breezy. Friday we’ll notice a slight cool down back to average in the upper 70s. We’ll see partly cloudy skies and winds will pick up gusting 15 miles per hour.

This weekend will see some changes with another mild, but cloudy, day on Saturday. Highs will be in the upper 70s with partly sunny skies. Winds will be breezy gusting 15 to 20 miles per hour bringing in changes come Sunday.

Sunday will be another “Fall” like day with highs in the mid to upper 60s, which is 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. We have a chance for rain developing later in the day that will carry us into the beginning of next week.

Monmday begins on a chilly note and won’t be a warm day at all. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s. We’ll see some rain showers in the first half of the day with clouds to begin the week. Tuesday sees a slight warm up, but still noticeable clouds overhead.
