Fog and freezing fog with rain & wintry mix possible later this morning

Good Monday to you, Central Oregon.   This morning brings areas of dense fog and patchy freezing fog before 10am.  Later this morning, rain and possible wintry mix below 4500 feet is possible (maybe even freezing rain in some areas); any snowfall will most likely occur in the mountains and be relatively light.  The snow level is currently at 3800 feet rising to 4800 feet in the afternoon.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in place in Central and North Central Oregon this morning due to visibility of 1/4 mile or less in some areas creating hazardous driving conditions.  Additionally, in areas below the freezing threshold freezing fog will be a factor bringing complications on your commute. Roads will be wet with black ice where freezing fog is observed so slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of room in front of you.

Elsewhere in the state there’s also an Air Stagnation Advisory until 8AM Wednsday and a Dense fog advisory until 10AM today in Southeast Oregon.

Winds will be out of the Southeast at 5-10mph throughout the day and may pick up a bit in the early afternoon.

Highs today will be in the upper 30s and low 40s and the overnight lows will be in the 20s and 30s.
