BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Put the kettle on! Deschutes Public Library is brewing something extra-special for tea drinkers this February. Celebrate Library Lovers’ Month with the chance to take home your own Reader’s Blend tea, made for Deschutes Public Library by Metolius Artisan Tea.

Deschutes Public Library is giving away 250 ceramic mugs with a loose-leaf serving of this special literary lover’s blend. To enter, tag the library (@deschuteslibrary) in a cozy reading photo and tell us why you love having a library card, or email your photo and response to newsletter@deschuteslibrary.org.

“Reader's Blend highlights locally grown lavender and bachelor's buttons along with ethically sourced coconut, Italian bergamot, and rooibos. It’s rich, smooth, floral, and thoughtful,” says Amy Stahl, founder of Metolius Artisan Tea. “We are so proud of it, we think it's the best tea we've designed since our wildly popular North.”

February is the perfect month to cozy up with your favorite library book and cuppa tea. Indulge in this good-for-you pastime — sipping tea and reading. Don’t forget to snap a picture and tell us why you love having a library card.

The first 250 customers to send us their cozy reading photo and response will be contacted in late February for instructions for how to receive their limited edition mug and Reader’s Blend tea. Follow Deschutes Public Library on Facebook and Instagram to see promotions throughout the month and your featured reading photos.

The custom blend is made for daytime sipping or to be enjoyed alongside a good book late into the night. Reader’s Blend tea is available on Metolious’s website (https://metoliustea.com/products/readers-blend). A portion of sale proceeds support the Deschutes Public Library Foundation — supplementing programs and services that are not funded through tax dollars.
