Bend Endurance Academy

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Bend Endurance Academy announced the outstanding performances of its climbers at Boulder Divisional Championships, held this past weekend at Portland Rock Gym. With displays of tenacity and resilience, the Academy's climbers showcased their skill on four boulders in the qualifying rounds.

With this championship event came a new competition format, challenging climbers in its complexity and novelty. Ten athletes from Bend Endurance Academy progressed from the qualification rounds all the way through to the highly competitive finals.

Four climbers from Bend Endurance Academy placed in the top six in their respective categories, earning a spot to compete at the USAC National Championships this July. Will Hunzicker, Drew Childers, Vance Stanfield, and Soren Hasselblad will all represent BEA in bouldering.

"We are so excited for all our climbers who competed in this year’s Divisionals," said Cate Beebe, Climbing Director and coach at Bend Endurance Academy. "Their success is a testament to the supportive community and specific training environment here at BEA. We congratulate all our athletes on their performances at Divisionals and we’ll continue our boulder-specific training with our qualified climbers as they prepare for Nationals."
