Bend native Sawyer Jura made his MLS debut last week. Jura moved to Portland to be part of the Timbers Academy and signed a contract earlier this year. He has been playing for the Timbers2 team this year. Meanwhile, the Bend Elks are coming off a sweep this weekend. They are in third place in the West Coast League's South Division. Logan Gilbert is the lone Mariner to make the MLB All-Star game.
