Monday’s Sports Report: OSU’s Travis Bazzana goes #1; Bend Elks head to All-Star Week; Jade Carey send-off

On Sunday night, Travis Bazzana made Oregon State baseball history, becoming the second Beaver to be drafted No. 1 overall in the MLB draft. Oregon State becomes one of four schools to do so, as Adley Rutschman was the first pick in the 2019 draft. The Bend Elks got swept in Portland this weekend, but have four players headed to the WCL All-Star Game, which will be aired on the MLB Network. And OSU gymnast Jade Carey received a round of applause Saturday as she headed off to prepare for the Olympics.
