ODOT provides update on Terrebonne’s Hwy. 97 Lower Bridge Way-NW 10th Street project, now underway

TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The U.S. 97 Lower Bridge Way-NW 10th Street project is currently under construction in Terrebonne, and ODOT provided this update Monday on the details:

We understand this project will impact Terrebonne residents' day-to-day lives and appreciate your patience during construction. Below you will find an update on project progress so far, and a very rough estimate of our schedule for the weeks ahead.

Utility re-locations are currently occurring throughout Terrebonne and are a separate operation to ODOT’s work.  Utilities need to be relocated before we can begin our work in most cases, so we may need to change operations/work areas until utility work is completed.

Our contractor is currently working on sewer construction on 11th Street from Central Avenue north to U.S. 97 until the end of the month. We will then switch to Central Avenue to Smith Rock Way for approximately three weeks, then to Smith Rock Way south to U.S. 97 for approximately three weeks.

After this, the contractor will come back to each of these areas to rebuild the road, sidewalks, and drainage.

Please note: Schedules may change without warning. For weekly schedule updates, please sign up for the ODOT Region 4 Construction Report which is emailed each Friday afternoon. These reports will give you the most up-to-date project schedule and planned road closures for the week ahead. You can sign up for these reports here.

Some other things to note, there is a closure planned for Smith Rock Way, but it is not expected until later this year. There is also work taking place at Lower Bridge Way so that we can construct ramps and detour routes for the future bridge construction. The Lower Bridge Way detours are not expected to be implemented until Spring of 2025.

Further information, including our detour map and project timeline overview can be found on the project website.
