A more normal start to the week

After some abnormally cold temperatures last week, we are looking a lot more normal for a bit. Over the weekend, we were progressively warming up about 10 degrees each day. Today, we’ll be nice and warm, in the 80s. Lows tonight in the 40s and 50s.

A low pressure to the north along with a cold front will move through on Tuesday, dropping our temperatures into the mid 70s for a day or two but we’ll jump right back into the 80s on Thursday. This pattern will make us a little breezy on Tuesday because it will lift up the air as it passes. In general, it should be a nice summer-feel week.

We were also rainy last week but the clouds and the rain have cleared out. We are drier starting this work week so you can expect sunnier skies. We aren’t bone dry, there is some lingering moisture way high in the sky, which should continue to mitigate fire danger to some extent. But, since we will be generally warmer and drier, we’ll have to stay “weather aware.” This is a reminder that even with our recent weather, we are still in fire season and we can’t forget to practice fire safety.

Looking ahead to the end of the week, we are expected to get a little hot, tipping into those 90s for the weekend.

Happy Monday, have a great day!
