Local band The VibeShiftas lit up Labor Day with an electric performance

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – It was a whole vibe on Labor Day at Worthy Brewing - it’s all about The VibeShiftas.

The band, known for its eclectic blend of classic soul, funk and R&B, delivered a performance that had the audience on their feet and dancing the night away.

The band talked about the ‘vibe’ of the group.

Gabe Johnson of The VibeShiftas said: “I think spiritual soul funk is a good way to put this band because it's definitely heartfelt.”

Lead singer Sean Alan captivated the crowd with his dynamic range and emotional depth, belting out tunes that echoed the golden era of soul, while adding a modern twist.

“I lived on the East Coast for quite a while and came back here, and I've been involved in a lot of different ventures, and soul music and stuff, that Bend needs a band like us," Alan said. "I think that when we come together in music and we have a positive vibration and expression of our feelings together, it helps us. It's better than half the self-help you can get.”

As the night came to an end, one thing was clear: The VibeShiftas isn't just a band; they’re a force of nature in the local music scene.

You can catch Sean Alan and The Vibe Shiftas at Bunk+Brew Historic Lucas House on September 15th and at McMenamins St. Francis School on September 21st.
