Redmond School District

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Redmond School District Superintendent Dr. Charan Cline thanked the community on Thursday for voter approval of a $97.7 million bond measure in last week's election and said an oversight committee will be formed soon for the projects it will fund.

Here's the full statement:

Dear Redmond School District Community,

We are thrilled to report that Redmond School District voters have approved the passage of the district’s $97.7 million bond measure with a 52.2% yes rating!

Thank you to our community for your generous support and commitment to our schools. From our own staff members, PAC volunteers, elected officials to the thousands of parents who rallied for this bond, we express our deepest thanks. With this investment, we can make vital improvements across the district that not only address today’s needs but also help preserve and maintain our facilities for future generations. As Redmond continues to grow, these upgrades will ensure that our schools remain safe, welcoming, and well-equipped for both current and future students.

With the passage of this bond, we can now make investments and repairs to all 13 district schools, as well as the critical HVAC issue at Redmond High School. Together, we are building safer environments for learning that will serve our students, staff, and community for years to come. This bond represents not only an investment in today’s students but a legacy that will continue to support Redmond’s future. Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process and contributed to this significant milestone for our district.

In the coming months, the District will be forming a Bond Oversight Committee, a volunteer committee of citizens that provide oversight in ensuring bond dollars are spent as approved by the voters. Please stay tuned, as we will announce the application for that committee. You can follow the progress of bond projects for each school online at www.RedmondSchoolBond.org.

On behalf of the students and staff that we serve, we thank you for your continued support of Redmond School District.

Thank you,

Dr. Charan Cline

Superintendent
